Welcome to Books & Bottles

Welcome to Books & Bottles, where the (sometimes drunk) ramblings and reviews of Katelynn and Kassandra are free to run rampant.

Originally thought up whilst under the heavy influence of wine and tears, this little project of ours is something that’s coming very naturally (so far.. we’ll get back to you in a year).  As serial hobby-ists, it’s only natural to share what we love with everyone.. right?

.. Right!  Thank you for agreeing.

And so, without further ado, feel free to explore the baking tips, knitting horror stories (they’re on the way), anime, and manga, jumbled in with the original plan of Books & Wine reviews.  We hope you enjoy the wit and sarcasm as much as we enjoyed writing it.

But seriously – beware and enjoy!

  1. Glad you enjoyed it! I remember thinking this was okay… but I don’t even properly remember the plot anymore (my book memories… they’re fading!). Maybe I’m due a reread now that the film is coming out too. It looks pretty cool!

  2. I hate when that happens, but at the same time it’s good because then you can re-read it and enjoy it again without knowing every plot twist that’s coming!
I enjoyed it. I can see why it would be “meh” but I’m a sucker for these kinds of books, and I love that it’s set in WW2 – THE MOVIE LOOKS AMAZING!! Who doesn’t love Tim Burton? Looking at the trailer after finishing the book, though, they changed a lot of details, so it’s going to be different from the books. *sigh* At least Burton’ll make up for it all!
